Four hours of CE will be provided to cover the TSBDE mandatory requirements for pain management (104.1B). This course will cover safe & effective pain management strategies related to the prescription of opioids and other controlled substances, including standards of care for daily practice, identifying drug-seeking behaviors and use of the PMPAware database, and communication strategies for patient management. Pharmacology, relevant drug interactions, and case management will also be covered.
(Course CE hours may be used as part of biannual 16hr technical & scientific hours. The course satisfies board requirements to maintain licensure.)
